DEPUTY FOR CONTROL OF TRADITIONAL DRUGS, COSMETICS AND COMPLEMENTARY PRODUCTS

Considering:

• a. that in order to protect the community from circulated cosmetic that are not comply with the safety, quality and utility requirements, evaluation is necessary by means of registration and evaluation of cosmetic before circulation;
• b. that in accordance with provisions in Article 13 of Decision of the Head of the National Agency of Drug and Food Control No. HK.00.05.4.1745 on Cosmetic, it is necessary to regulate a procedure of registration and evaluation of cosmetic;
• c. in relation to letters a and b above, it is necessary to stipulate a Decision of the Deputy for Control of Traditional Drugs, Cosmetics and Complementary Products concerning Procedural Guidelines of Registration and Evaluation of Cosmetic;

In view of:

• 1. Decision of the Head of the National Agency of Drug and Food Control of the Republic of Indonesia No. 02001/SK/KBPOM on Organization and Work System of the National Agency of Drug and Food Control;
• 2. Decision of the Head of the National Agency of Drug and Food Control of the Republic of Indonesia No. HK.00.054.1745 on Cosmetic.

Bearing in Mind:

Joint Decree of the Minister of Health RI No. 264A/Menkes/SKB/VII/2003 and the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment RI No. 02/SKB/M.PAN/7/2003 on Duties, Functions and Authorities in the field of Drugs and Food Control.

DECIDES:

To stipulate:

DECISION OF THE DEPUTY FOR CONTROL OF TRADITIONAL DRUGS, COSMETICS AND COMPLEMENTARY PRODUCTS ON PROCEDURAL GUIDELINES FOR REGISTRATION AND EVALUATION OF COSMETIC.

First:

To ratify and enact the Procedural Guidelines for Registration and Evaluation of Cosmetic as specified in the attachment to this decision.

Second:

Every industry or company in cosmetic sector and all parties who are involved in registration process are obliged to refer to the Procedural Guidelines for Registration and Evaluation of Cosmetic as contemplated in first dictum.

Third:

The cosmetic which has had circulation license number before enactment of this decision, is obliged to adjust to this decision not later than 1 (one) year as of stipulation date of this decision.

Fourth:

This decision shall come to force as of the stipulation date and shall be subjected to review and reevaluation in the event of any error.
